Time to be thankful

'Tis the season to be thankful!  What a great reason to celebrate and remember the many great things in our lives.  In the spirit of thankfulness, here are some the products I'm most thankful for that have been introduced to me over the past 2 years. 1. Spices - Man do I love spices, and good ones!  We transitioned this  year from individual spices towards spice blends and WOW!  Primal Palate and Steel City Salt both make amazing products and I use them almost every time I cook.  So thankful for them! 2. Quick and Easy Holiday Entertaining

Holidays are crazy.  There's so much to do and everything has to be perfect... so we think.  Sometimes "perfection" doesn't need to be hand made but simply a way that you enjoy the holiday.  Someone just came into the store asking for a suggestion of where to order cookie trays.  She said, "I love cookies.  Hate to make them.  So I buy them."  Brilliant woman.  Certainly my lightbulb moment for the day. Faces

Faces.  Everyone's got one but it's interesting how people use them. When you go into a large store,  people use their face as a gate keeper - "Don't talk to me - I'll find you if I need you."  I'm used to seeing this face after working in retail mall stores for years where I often had the job of greeting people as they walked into the store.   In a small, local store, faces are totally different.  People often walk in expecting to be greeted because, let's face it, it's a small space.  One of the nicest surprises I've...
